I'm up. Got up at the appropriate time. Dragging through coffee and protein smoothie now. I am having a really hard time getting my ass in gear this morning.
This is the week when the Cool Running program starts getting really challenging, too. I started over at week 4 last week, since I'd taken about 6 weeks off from my usual routine and I didn't want to kill myself trying to jump back into it at an inappropriate intensity.
I'll explain more about the Cool Running program later (when I say it that way, I know it sounds like some weird cult, but I'm just having trouble stringing words together right now and don't feel that I'd do a great job of explaining it right now). Basically it's, called "The Couch to 5K Running Plan" and it is designed to ramp people up who have not been actively running, so that they're able to run a 5K within 2 months of starting the program.
You alternate running/jogging and walking, gradually decreasing the amount of time you spend walking as you increase the amount of time running/jogging. The durations for each are basically the entire program. Great, now I'm going to have motivational-speaker Tom Cruise stuck in my head all morning for no good reason at all. Uh... what was my point again? Oh yeah. This week it gets hard.

Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:

Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then jog two miles (or 20 minutes) with no walking.
