And a few years ago I would’ve loved the show because the movies weren’t that good and I get that the HBO just wants money but now it’s not really a good idea anymore.

That's so extreme 😓
I don't see how throwing away things from the past moves the needle. What makes people an ally is speaking up. Leveraging your privilege to protect someone vulnerable, pushing back.
What bugs me about rejecting all things HP to confirm allyship, is that it's not all and only JK's work. There are so many talented creatives involved in the production of the universe - music, merch, books, games, toys, theme parks, and especially the film visuals. Disavowing everything means disavowing years of those people's time and art too. Thousands of people.
I was thinking out loud here recently about Michael Jackson music, wondering if his death releases his benefit from our listening to it. Does death make it okay to re-enjoy art from people who massively let us down? I was also thinking the benefits now go to his kids. Then someone pointed out that MJ's estate profits, and it's the estate that handles lawsuits/re-traumatizes victims of his abuse. So... no. Not until MJ's estate stops battling victims.

And I get that the hate JK is spewing is horrible and causes hate against trans people and that’s why I haven’t spend money on her anymore. But like you said, there are so many other people in there as well.
I never really liked MJs music but I understand what you mean. I feel that Chris brown is also an example. He should have no career anymore but with him people don’t seem to care?
