One of the accused "accompanied the artist on a daily basis" during his stay in Argentina and is charged with "abandonment of a person followed by death".

Not sure if I understand this. Are they saying that that person left Liam knowing he was completely fucked off his gourd and that resulted in the fall that led to his death?

Seems like it.

I went to the police press release because I was confused too and I think something got left out of the translation. If I understand correctly, he is being charged with abandonment because the police think he helped Liam procure the drugs and then left him alone. He also seems to have lied to the police about it. His charge isn’t just abandonment, it’s abandonment coupled with supply and facilitation of drugs.

OK, that makes more sense! Thank you.

It also sounds like he presented himself as his manager even though he technically wasn’t and he was the point of contact for the hotel staff when Liam was fighting with the sex workers. Kind of seems like they know he was involved in getting him the drugs but might not have all the evidence yet so are charging him with what they can.

Yeah, an article I found when I was trying to figure out what exactly he was charged with said that he told the police he had been at the hotel multiple times that day, but the police couldn’t find anyone at the hotel who remembered seeing him. So I think they know he’s lying.

If you Google his name now there’s a million fluff pieces about how he hates partying and drugs. It’s such an obvious cover up attempt.

from what i understand, when he was losing his shit in the lobby the hotel staff were trying to call the cops. but someone took him back up to his hotel room (idk if it was his manager, that was the reports at the time, but if it was im guessing it was so he wasn't making the scene in the lobby?), and then he started getting violent in the room, so the staff were most likely advised to not approach. that's when they were calling saying someone needs to come now bc he has a balcony and they were worried for his safety. then he fell. the timeline was really quick as he was in the lobby at 4.30 and dead at 5

Yeah sounds like they’re say the person left him alone when they knew he was a danger to himself.

Yes, in Argentina, when a person leaves another person who is in distress when they are in a position to help, they can be charged with abandonement, depending on the circumstances and the person's role
