ARRESTS Three people have been arrested and charged following the death of Liam Payne last month.
One of the accused "accompanied the artist on a daily basis" during his stay in Argentina and is charged with "abandonment of a person followed by death".
A hotel employee and a third person is charged with supplying Payne with drugs.
SELF-HARM RULED OUT The prosecutor's office released a statement saying there was nothing to indicate any third-party involvement in his death. They have also ruled out "self-harm".
[Description of the fall / his state of mind]The statement says Payne did not adopt a reflex posture to protect himself from the fall. Because of this it can be inferred he may have fallen "in a state of semi or total unconsciousness". Drug tests have confirmed that he had multiple narcotics in his system at time of death.
"Liam Payne was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall", the report says.
"[This would] rule out the possibility of a conscious or voluntary act (...) In the state he was in, he did not know what he was doing nor could he understand it".
