Toei underestimates a franchise and shorts its fans of merch they’d happily pay for? I’m shocked, SHOCKED!!

They fumble everything lmao

Though I’ve read that description like 3x and I’m still baffled

Right I even watched the clip from the show and I’m still none the wiser. Is it that the candy becomes armour ? What’s the part about wings and halo then ?

This show is definitely not for me, but I'm a Kamen Rider Den-O girlie and have seen a few of the older series. Usually, the protagonist gets different cards that he slides into his transformer belt to henshin/transform into the superhero with different weapons or power-ups depending on the card. After being used up, the cards (not all, but let's keep it simple lol) dissolve in a sparkle.

Instead of cards or gems, this show has 'live' candy monsters as transformation tokens, so it's not really that the candy itself becomes the armour, but more like sliding a game cartridge into your Gameboy & receiving what's programmed on there. And instead of just dissolving into nothingness after use, their 'souls' rise to heaven with the wings and halo. 👀

Ah okay thank you! It still takes a bit of acceptance but I get it better now that you’ve explained.

I don't know what you mean. The Kamen Rider universe is highly logical and very realistic! ;)

Seriously, though, this is way too whacky even for me. And my fave instalment involves a time-travelling train, travel cards as transformation tokens, and getting possessed by demons lol
