“Cultural phenomenon” is taking it too far. My very unplugged from pop culture coworkers are always my bar for what’s really hitting. Last summer they brought up the Barbie movie and the discourse several times. They knew what Eras tour was. If this year I were to bring up brat summer they would have no idea what I’m talking about. They would think brat Kamala was a new trump insult lol

I went as chappell roan for halloween and almost no one knew who she was lol. Reality check on being niche. Some who did only knew good luck babe.

Tbh it might also be age thing. Not that I'm calling your coworkers old, but I'm guessing brat summer was mostly a thing for people who are into popculture and teenagers/people in their twenties.
