What an incredible finale. I was basically non-stop sobbing through both episodes. 😭
My thoughts: [Spoiler (click to open)]I was hoping for mentor!Agatha since the Billy Maximoff reveal and we get ghost mentor!Agatha??? We literally can't stop winning.
Sasheer Zamata, THE WOMAN THAT YOU ARE! I loved watching her subtly change her tone and her facial expressions as she repeated "You hold nothing." What a beautiful moment of catharsis.
The kiss of Death was even more beautiful and passionate than I imagined. Imagine making Lady Death herself shed a tear.
"The Ballad of the Witches' Road" being a self-fulfilling prophecy that Agatha herself unwittingly created was peak writing imo. Every decision she made, including (and especially) fucking with The Scarlet Witch, ultimately led her to a giant mirror. And when she finally saw the cracks in that motherfucker's reflection, not even the afterlife could stop her from finding purpose.
The set-up at the end... I'm going to physically fight Kevin Feige if filming for VisionQuest doesn't start IMMEDIATELY.
Given the wild success of AAA I would be surprised if they don't at least bring her on as a character consultant (if those characters even appear, of course). I'd like to think that the outrage at how Wanda's character was handled in MoM, for instance, hasn't gone unnoticed by the powers that be, and [Spoiler (click to open)]given how they went out of their way to not confirm Wanda's death in AAA, I believe that's the case.
[Spoiler (click to open)]I'm so sad Jennifer was betrayed by Agatha's greed/carelessness. It really goes to show how you can impact someone without even realising it. But her acting was phenomenal. I think Sasheer has said she thought she was brought in for comedic work, so she was pleasantly surprised to be able to perform these emotional beats. She killed it.
I love your thoughts regarding the Ballad, and I love how Agatha's greed and her taking advantage of Wanda's naivete ultimately resulted in her undoing. She's been taking advantage of witches for centuries-what's a Scarlet Witch who knows nothing?
That reveal with Jen specifically made me think back on [Spoiler (click to open)]how Agatha mentioned that she'd left Jen alone all those years because "the work she was doing was important". It made me question if it was actually out of guilt.
And inviting Jen to join the coven knowing she wouldn't be able to blast her with magic she could absorb? Was she going to just kill Jen with the power she harvested from Lilia and Alice, or was she going to finally unbind her afterwards-or something more sinister??? Ugh! I have so many thoughts and questions lol.
[Spoiler (click to open)]I'm rewatching episode 8 now, and Agatha pretended like she had no idea it was Jennifer, but I feel like a part of her must've, even if she decided to tell herself she didn't know. (Maybe she forgot about it? It tracks considering how selfish she is.) Agatha very clearly has a "I before them" mentality that seems to grow more prominent/violent post-Nicholas' death. I definitely think she must've left Jennifer alone for the reasons you said, because what else was she doing

I'm re-watching both episodes in an hour when my bf gets home and I'll be putting my ONTD School of Detectives degree to work!
I will say: [Spoiler (click to open)]I don't think she ever even saw Sharon as someone she needed to kill, let alone a person lol. Her whole attitude toward her screamed indifference (i.e. "What does your gut tell you?" when the door appeared) 'til the bitter end. Now that I think about it, the way both Wanda and Agatha treated Sharon as an "extra" is an interesting parallel.
I feel like you're sooo right re: Lilia being the foil. Jen called her a witch-killer, but they don't even know the truth about Nicholas Scratch, so how would they know about the scam? They all make it a point to say that no one survives The Witches' Road (except Agatha; R.I.P., diva DOWN! 💜) because Agatha has never left any survivors. But Agatha has also never rushed/botched a "ritual" like this before, so maybe she was just being sloppy!
