All of the violence his (if he had signed back on) character commits against women in The Penguin is off-screen. I honestly blocked out The Batman so I can't speak to the movie anymore.

In The Batman we actually see him trying to strangle women. The show just implies it/shows it after the fact.

To me the fucked up shit that happens to women is more so emotional abuse and abuse of power that at times results in their death or bringing them to crazy ends of sanity through power and manipulation. It breaks my heart and is hard to watch at times but there is good female story arch and character development and revenge haha, overall nothing inherently ’violent against women’ shown that I recall screen time wise for penguin. Have loved every episode and I’m not a comic book girly.

I would rec the show but with the caveat that I love Cristin Milioti and have a high threshold for graphic violence. IMO, it feels more like a mobster/mafia show than a comic book one. But there are definitely graphic elements.

I would. It's better than it has to be and I'm usually bored to death by organized crime movies and shows. Colin Farrel and Cristin Milioti are both wonderful and I like seeing Gotham in daylight, it feels real and lived in.
