[Spoiler (click to open)]OMG! I am THE WORST! I just reread your comment and when you mentioned him dying in the suicide mission in ME2, I read that COMPLETELY incorrectly and thought you mentioned knowing what happened to him in ME3. I suck. Well, now you know that even if you did go back a save to keep him alive, you would have been that much more devastated in ME3. So, you’re welcome? Ugh! I’m so mad at myself. But legit, I was SOBBING. It was such a beautiful/terrible/wonderful end to his story. Ugh! Fuck you Mordin! I love you!
As for Tali. I could not tell you. I know I accidentally didn’t finish her loyalty mission and that’s how I got her killed. I DIDN’T KNOW AT THE TIME! I’m sorry, Tali!!!! I think I’m going to look up how she dies in the suicide mission because it was so long ago and I’ve kept EVERYONE alive on all subsequent playthroughs.
Oh and this is relating to ME1. My first ME game was ME2, since I’m on PlayStation and ME1 wasn’t released for us until after ME2 came out. So they had this like comic book “choose your own adventure” at the beginning of ME2 for the major decisions that carried over. I chose to keep Kaiden alive, because what did I care, and then I HATED him in ME2. So when I replayed the series from ME1 I specifically saved Ashley, thinking she wouldn’t be the terrible racist asshole Kaiden was, but NOPE she was just as bad! Third play through I was like … can I kill them both off??? Spoilers, you can’t.
[Spoiler (click to open)]Don't worry about the Mordin thing, it's okay! I won't look the scene up though, I'm going to save the tears for another day when I play again and save him. I have been spoiled about other deaths (or at least one other) that happen in ME3 and my poor little heart is already suffering in advance ;__;
Oh shucks, you lost Tali because she wasn't loyal! I almost didn't even recruit her, but then I did literally everything else before the Suicide Mission and decided not to be a lazy ass loser and just go and get her as well. So glad I did! I really enjoyed the little Migrant Fleet storyline. But yeah if I had slacked off with any loyalty mission I'd have learned about their fates the hard way as well. And I think she must die exactly the same way as Mordin, it's probably a RNG thing that the game decides according to which of them you assign to do what.

Oh no what were they thinking D:
This is so weird about Kaidan! I don't remember him being racist at all? Could it be that it was changed in the Legendary Edition? Because that playthrough is still fresh in my mind and I'm pretty sure only Ashley was racist (or at least vocally so). Perhaps Kaidan had some suspicious lines that I'm not recalling right now... And then we only see him that one time on Horizon in ME2, and I understand why he's pissed when he finds out Shep is with Cerberus after all the horrible things they had uncovered about Cerb in the first game.
I guess it couldn't hurt to play the Legendary Edition (if you haven't yet) just to make sure you didn't get the wrong impression about him... hahaha
