Yay it got through! On time! TY mods!! siaht October 20 2024, 22:14:13 UTC
lmao okay I figured the spoiler cut out finally

[Sooooooo Mass Effect????? SPOILERS FOR ME2 AND 3]I just finished ME2 (Legendary Edition) earlier today and jumped right into ME3 afterwards. I feel cheated as hell?? Why the heck did we go through hell and highwater with Cerberus to stop the Collectors (AND I LOST ONE OF MY FAVORITE TEAMMATES WHILE AT IT WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHY*) and gain knowledge on the Reapers, just to wake up in ME3 with the Reapers all over Earth?? I understand the appeal of starting a story in media res but come the fuck on. Not to mention Cerberus is already being evil again killing the very people the Illusive Man sworn to us he wanted to protect at all costs... )

I was going to read your comment once I finished mine 😫😫😫 I freakin’ LOVE the mass effect series, so I will be coming back for your comment alone!

Edit:

Okay, I’m leaving my original comment because the fact that you figured out spoiler cuts while I was writing mine is hilarious.

[Spoiler (click to open)]I lost Tali in my first play through, I won’t comment what I want to say because I will not spoil for you. Mordin’s death in ME3 had me SOBBING. I would highly suggest watching it on YouTube once you’re done with the game if you don’t replay them.

ME2 is easily one of my favorite games of all time. I liked ME3 a lot, I just compartmentalize the ending! I’m just so happy you’re experiencing these games! Love them!

[spoilery spoilers]The ME3 ending comes up a lot everywhere I look (no spoilers, just the general consensus/sentiment about it), and I'm already dreading it lol Now that I know how it starts, I get a feeling I know how it will end and why it left everyone so disappointed. Alas, I will find out for myself whether I'll join the chorus or not.

Ah, Mordin... I didn't know he died in ME3 anyway :cries: Welp, at least I got to watch him sing :') And I'm this close to making it my ringtone because I love it so much.

I'm really curious how you lost Tali in your playthrough, was it in the Suicide Mission or earlier? Because I got her to go in the vents at the start of that mission and I guess she could've died there if I didn't manage to open the passages for her, but I don't remember any other ways prior to that where she could've died.

Without trying to be too spoilery for you, but I'll cut it in case:

[Spoiler (click to open)]The way you lose companions during the Suicide Mission is by either a) the way you treated them prior to it or b) assigning them to an inappropriate role during it.

I got it but haven’t played yet! 😬 I’ve been busy playing Zelda Echoes of Wisdom (which is so much fun!) I beat it today tho.

I got echoes of wisdom, but I haven’t started it yet 😭 (waiting to play it on vacation). I’ve only played one game of Mario party so far and it was a lot of fun!

I’m actually playing a new game right now! Metaphor: ReFantazio It’s by the people who make the Persona games. I was curious how, what I call, the “school time” was going to be in a full on fantasy game and I’m really enjoying it! Found myself laughing out loud while playing last night and then genuinely feeling TERRIBLE a few hours later for something else. If you don’t love JRPGs, I’m gonna say this won’t be for you, but if you do (and don’t mind bonkers/creepy as fuck monsters) I would totally suggest. I’ve heard it’s around 80 hours of gameplay, so I can confidently double that for my style, so I think it was worth full price, but also … games are so expensive now, get it on sale!

I love everything mentioned in your comment so I'm adding this game to my list!

And lol we are definitely the same type of gamer because my playthroughs also run at least double the estimated time. I've put 164 hours between ME1 and 2 alone lmao

People will be like, I finished a game in 10 hours and I’m just like … … … how? If a plot point tells me to go left, I’m going right! Isn’t that how everyone plays? Oh and games like ME, I’m screwed! I want to do ALL THE THINGS! I don’t even want to know how many hours I have in Skyrim. It’s probably something VERY unhealthy!

I'm laughing so hard because this is quite literally what I do, if I have the choice. Idek how one can be satisfied only doing what the game tells you to and not exploring every corner before you go the intended way. Or talking to literally every NPC. Or eavesdropping every conversation. I can't even watch people play if they're half-assing it because it drives me mad.

Curiously, I started Skyrim before I took up ME but I found it a liiiittle too... slow I guess is the word, for me. But I want to go back to it at some point.
