This sounds like a genuinely interesting concept for a sequel, I hope it's handled well and the film is good. The first movie is so fun.

Let me say something controversial tho - [lukewarm take]Nate was just annoying, he wasn't wrong. In 2024 it's crazy to think people watched that and thought of him as a villain. He's just saying not to kill yourself for a job that ultimately means very little to Andy and isn't really in her interests!

I didn’t think Nate was the problem as much as her friends. No excuses for her friends imo.

Havent been to cinema in 4 years but I might go for this damn it.

I watched it more times than I can count when I was a teenager coming to terms with my sexuality. Was part of a TDWP livejournal of course ha, it was a very supportive community & it was how I discovered FF.

Hm, idk. I’m not holding my breath. And how does Andy fit in all this? Justice for Nigel!

I tried reading the book years ago and couldn’t get past maybe chapter 2. Funny how some movies ruin books and others elevate them.

According to early plot details, Miranda (Meryl Streep) faces the decline of traditional print magazines. Her main competitor? None other than her former assistant Emily Charlton (Anne Hathaway)

that was Emily Blunt's character tho? i remember there being rumours about this months ago and it wasn't even confirmed that Anne was going to be involved (i'm not mad if she is, but Miranda vs Emily just feels so much more interesting to me idk...)

She could probably have a role as a reporter of all the shenanigans?

Ooh, Miranda v Emily makes so much more sense. I couldn't understand why Anne Hathaway's character (who I'm now remembering is called Andy, maybe?) would still be in fashion.

I could totally see Andy running a "feminist" podcast thats really more self-serving White Lady nonsense that ignores WoC
