According to the Film and Television Industry Alliance, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has now entered the pre-production phase. Filming is scheduled to begin on November 30th, 2024, though locations for shooting have yet to be confirmed.
According to early plot details, Miranda (Meryl Streep) faces the decline of traditional print magazines. Her main competitor? None other than her former assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), now a powerful executive at a luxury fashion group.
As the two clash for critical advertising money, the sequel looks poised to explore the shifting landscape of the fashion industry. David Frankel, who directed the 2006 film, will return to helm the sequel, while Wendy Finerman will once again produce.
