I am someone who believes that our current justice system is inexcusably, irreparably broken. I believe in an abolishment of the death penalty, I believe in significantly more rights for inmates (including a right to an education and access to food that is healthy and not comprised significantly of maggots,) and I believe that most non-violent crimes are committed due to illness, poverty, mental health issues, or some combination thereof, which do not inherently speak to the quality of the person incarcerated for them. I believe that there are good people and there are bad people but by and large they're the same people.

I also believe that someone like this creature is entirely, unforgivably evil, and there is no level of redemption that one could hope to obtain when harming *thousands* of people for *30 years.* You do not wake up one day and decide to harm TENS of people, let alone HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS for THREE DECADES. You do not wake up and decide to harm CHILDREN, and WOMEN, and YOUR OWN PARTNERS, let alone variable strangers. At that point, something is dead inside of you, and there's no saving grace anyone can grant you.
