September 30, 2024 Last night, Sabrina Carpenter acknowledged the speculation that her “Feather” music video lead to an investigation
that ultimately led to the indictment of NYC Mayor Eric Adams. During her show at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, she said, “Damn, what now?” looking out at the crowd. “Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted, or…”
The connection has to do with Carpenter's controversial 2023 "Feather" music video, which included shots inside the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brooklyn, New York, which Priest Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello said
he approved and later apologized for. Carpenter's music video is being brought up in reference to the reported federal inquiry into Gigantiello's business transactions with the mayor's office, in particular the mayor's former chief of staff, Frank Carone.
In other related news, Selena Gomez was in attendance last night enjoying music from her friend Sabrina. The two have crossed paths several times before, are both former Disney girlies, and both are besties to Taylor Swift ofc.
