I know this isn't the place but i just wanted to let everyone know i survived Helene even if damage here in WNC is catastrophic. My town has no cell service and i am on the library's wifi (i also have no internet - our hub for my area is under water) but we were very lucky compared to even one or two towns over. Just wanted everyone to know i am ok!

I am at the library along with everyone else in town and we're fine here (other than internet, cell service, and water being contaminated but still on). Just up the road there is pure devastation it's terrible but even i don't know whats going on because there is such limited communication. It took me over 24 hours to tell my family i was ok. My biggest issue was i ran out of movies to watch hence why i came to the library.

The fact it dwarfed Hugo is kind of amazing since Hugo destroyed an entire industry. Was worried when I saw the tristate area on the map. Those mountains aren't made for winds and y'all don't do hurricane prep because nowhere near a beach.
