this is so beautifully put and completely relatable.

truly the most unexpected thing to come out of the past year has been macklemore of all people turning out to be this eloquent and being one of the only celebrities to stand with integrity. like i really would not have put that on any bingo card but i have simply gotta hand it to him.

Uh... I believe he wrote I don't think I'm alone, which is true. His anger toward what's going on with Palestine is definitely not only him experiencing it.

Third slide, end of second paragraph says "I don't think I am not alone." I read the whole thing twice and there are a bunch of places that are straight up confusing. I am autistic, so maybe it is me, but I cannot see how this could be described is eloquent.

he might be the corniest guy in the game but he’s almost always on the right side of history which tbh is slightly annoying. Like I want to bust his balls but then he’s like, “hey I know I’m over earnest but look at these systemic injustices and tell me I’m wrong” and then it’s like , “…thank you for sharing, macklemore, that was actually kind of helpful.”

i mean i will fess up that as an LGBTQ person i was kind of BEC about him over "when i was in the third grade i thought that i was gay / cause i could draw, my uncle was, and i kept my room straight" (specifically "i thought that i was gay cause my uncle was" had me like 😐 HUH?), but even then with some distance same love is ultimately on the right side of history lol, it's just super corny about it. i've come to kind of like the sometimes-corny earnestness he approaches everything with.

I see your point, but it makes it sound like he does not actually know what some of the words mean. I am always surprised when people in the the business of writing poetry (essentially) don't communicate well.

He also shared an EXTREMELY well worded statement after he canceled his UAE concert.

But yeah, it could just be me since seems like everyone else commenting understood it just fine.
