I’m Gonna argue with you on Rachel because our warrior girl wouldn’t have hated going out like that. To the contrary I think she was very aware Jake was playing a Queen Sacrifice game (she was many things but never dumb and, more importantly, she knew her cousin well) and walked into it anyway.

I will however agree about Abbie. That death served no purpose except to piss off everyone and ruin the series.

And Norrington. He went through it, to hell and back, was betrayed and betrayed, hit rock bottom, found his spine and soul, and then died for Lizzie and stayed dead? In a series where staying dead almost never happens??? Bullshit. He deserved better.

rachel’s death is honestly perfectly in character and thematically incredibly in keeping with the series and its insistence on being as honest as possible with its young intended audience about what war really means

unfortunately my emotional and spiritual well being depends on tobias and rachel sailing happily into the sunset so sorry about your art katherine!!!

This is so real! In the basis of the delulu being the solulu Rachel and Tobias deserved a happy ending, fucking off somewhere peaceful where Jake would never call on them again. (If you look up love/hate relationship in a dictionary Jake vs Every Animorph Fan Ever can be found there. How can I want to free him and want to drown him in the same breath?)

The ending we got hurt so bad. I understood it and embraced and thought it was just right but ugh, Rachel gone and Tobias bitter and alone, losing even the bit of family he’d managed to grasp with Ax. My heart broke over and over.
