Indie Film Release Guide: September 20th [An ONTD Original]

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has enjoyed a couple weeks atop the box office, but it looks like Paramount’s Transformers One is coming to take its throne. There are no other big studio releases this weekend, though Lionsgate is premiering Alexandre Aja’s Never Let Go, and Mubi is sharing The Substance in limited theaters.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Five” - Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures, and Columbia Pictures. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. What you should know: Ray Liotta was initially cast in the role that Dennis Quaid plays, but died before filming commenced.

A Different Man

All Shall Be Well
