With school back in full swing, the summer movie season has come to a close. Thankfully, this brings us to the fall movie season, which begins with none other than a sequel to a 36 year-old film - Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, from Warner Bros. There are no other big studio releases this weekend, but there are lot of indies, so check those out below.
The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Five” - Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures, and Columbia Pictures. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. What you should know: Netflix acquired the rights after the film’s premiere at TIFF 2023.
