I would hope that her lawyers at least fire off a C&D given that she's officially declared her support for Harris & Walz. I won't be holding my breath, though.
Yeah she’s pretty quick to pounce on some Etsy seller putting her song lyrics on a key ring or a coffee mug but doesn’t seem to have an issue with this goon using her for publicity.
Right? I wonder if she previously didn't do anything about Trump using her name and image specifically because she and the Harris/Walz campaign were trying to maximize the impact of her endorsement post. (If that was the case, I think they succeeded. Literally everyone was checking an endorsement from her by that point and once the post went up the Harris/Walz campaign immediately hit the ground running with those friendship bracelets.)
Or, well, that's what I hope her reasoning was, because as much as I am not a stan I am not fond of the alternatives.
I wonder if a C&D would work here? I'm really curious about the legality of these kinds of parodies. I'm looking at Etsy right now and there's actually tons of Eras tour parody shirts available:
I'm not convinced she has any actual case against it - it would probably fall under parody, her name and likeness aren't used - but then sometimes a cease and desist is more scare tactic than a real "we think we have a successful lawsuit here"
