An opinion piece that points out the obvious:

Taylor does nothing by accident and she sure as hell doesn't seem interested in adressing the upcoming election.

Which would make her “Miss Americana” political awakening look like just another of her eras that she is done with now.

The theory that she changes for men is probably right. She was with Joe who is very politically conscious and was probably inclined to want to make a difference. Now she's with a vapid, fame hungry ugly hat wearing twat. And all she's interested in is getting attention and hanging out with literally some of the worst people in the business. It tracks all she's bothered about is fame given that's what all her leeches are bothered about.

I don't think it's the boyfriend influence cause Taylor went into PR clean-up mode primarily cause she had backlash for not speaking out + Kim boding her opened a lot of overall criticism of her person and tactics.

So she was gonna act like she wanted to be political or do more but couldn't because of daddy and other excuses. None of it was ever sincere, she just said the buzzwords and phrases her fans wanted to hear. But I knew the minute she got back into the good graces she'd go right back to her old way cause that's what she really wants. She was gonna do with or without someone like Joe by her side.

Taylor would love nothing more if everyone would leave her alone and let her be apolitically happy for the rest of career. The only thing that matter to her is her image, money, and power.

Yeah, I think she was faking her activist era in part because she felt her career was under threat and in part to impress Joe…… but now that she thinks she’s untouchable due to her rabid stans and she has a boyfriend who doesn’t care as long as his name stays in the tabloids, the real her jumped back out. This is the real her not whoever she was pretending to be back then. I can’t wait to see what excuse she’ll come up with a couple of years from now when she’s inevitably on the decline again and has to pretend again and I’m sure a lot of white women will eat it up

Yeah I wasn’t a close friend of this girl, we were just friends, so I can’t speak to how genuine she was when she was in the left-wing organizations but at the time I had no reason to doubt her sincerity. She certainly did more for left-wing causes at that time than Taylor ever did. The FB meltdown over people not being left-wing enough was weird but I chalked it up to her struggling because of having to move back home but then… jump scare when I accepted her friend request earlier this year and I saw all the posts about abortion

i know, i've seen him post about Palestine but i didn't want to make the post longer than it already is. i would say he's left-wing economically as well as on a few other issues, but is also racist and misogynistic.

i don't want to make it sound like i'm blaming him either. Taylor is responsible for her own actions. it's more that i'm just noticing a connection between the way some people i knew irl started sliding to the right when they listened to those podcasts and realizing Taylor seems to be behaving similarly and there's a clear connection between her and those podcasts and how she could've discovered them lol.
