So wait, no new variant last week?

I get the feeling she's holding back now cause of the backlash. Her praising Charli last week seemed kinda strategic to me. Still 2 months left but Grammy noms are Nov.8 maybe unrelated but I don't put it past Taylor.

I thought she was going to let Sabrina have a week at #1 so she and her stans could go, “see, she doesn’t block everyone” and then go back to dropping variants, but Travis Scott swooped in instead and threw a wrench in her plans. Apparently he has a bunch of unshipped vinyls so he could block Sabrina for another week if he wanted to too.

She isn’t winning any Grammys this year anyway, except for maybe Best Pop Duo and even that I doubt. Fortnight tumbled down the charts too fast. The damage control is too little too late.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL!! This variant business needs to be curbed hard!! but let me laugh at a Taylor- adjacent possibly getting screwed by someone else using Mother's same M.O!! Nothing against Sabrina personally but loooooooooooooooool!!

Idk maybe she won't get AOTY but Grammys love and favor Taylor and love ratings so lets see.

The Grammys have very particular tastes (the tastes of old white people lmfao) so if you put yourself in the mindset of an old white person you can kind of predict what they like. They LOVE songs with retro, throwback production in terms of production, and in terms of themes they love motivational, self-love songs like About Damn Time or Flowers which won big in recent years or very emotional songs like the Bonnie Raitt song that won SOTY over All Too Well was about someone’s son dying in an accident but then his heart being transplanted into someone else’s body and giving a second chance at life lol. They also love the ingenue having a breakthrough moment which this year will be Sabrina Carpenter, she’ll go home with at least some Grammys in the Pop category. Taylor doesn’t really have anything appealing the olds this year lol ( ... )

"After Sabrina tweeted “this one is for Nicki” I really can’t feel too sorry for her lol! It is funny to see the Swifties who were hiding behind Sabrina Carpenter to bash Sabrina’s peers (Billie, Olivia, Chappell, etc) get a taste of their own medicine."

coming back to this post to report “Die with a Smile” just came up on my Spotify shuffle for the first time and you can scratch what I said about Taylor maybe having a chance in Best Pop Duo… Bruno and Gaga are definitely taking it lmao.

I think “Espresso” has to be the frontrunner for Best Pop Solo though!

She doesn't deserve to win anything for the TTPD. None of her songs this era has have hit compared to the other songs out there.

Yeah… the pop category is going to be a Billie vs. Chappell vs. Sabrina battle, with Sabrina maybe having the slight edge due to commercial success but Billie also has commercial success with a more serious artiste image and I think Chappell has a bit more of a serious image too. The second I heard “Die with a Smile” I knew it was Grammys catnip, especially with how much they love Bruno and they don’t mind Gaga either. It’s hard to see where TTPD would have a chance at winning.

I think Chappell might give Sabrina a run for her money in those pop categories, and yeah, the Grammys love Billie too. Charli had a breakout year as well.

In any case... and none for Taylor Swift BYE.

Fortnight wasn't even the best major pop collaboration involving Post Malone, lol, Levii's Jeans >>>>>>

She skips digital variants when her friends release something. Gracie Abrams was spared (still debut #2), and then she didn’t release against Post or Sabrina. There’s been a few other weeks, too but she had a clear lead without.
