"It Ends With Us" star Blake Lively said in an interview that Ryan Reynolds wrote a key scene in the final cut of the film. The movie began production on May 5, 2023 - three days after the start of last summer's WGA strike.

I know she doesn’t have a stylist team, obviously! But does she have a PR team? Because if she does, she should fire everyone. This press tour should be studied because it’s beyond disastrous. If she doesn’t have one, she needs to hire someone-maybe get Jennifer Lawrence’s people. Her next-door, bumbling, humble persona is working well.

I would argue Jennifer's adorkable persona ran its course, she's only been good now cause she's been lowkey. People don't mind in small doses but high doses like a few years ago would eventually get her problems.

Yeah, I’ll give her that-she knows when to stay low-key and out of the spotlight if she has nothing to promote.

That's the winning formula for celebs who want to be as private as possible.

i don't know about that - jlaw made a completely unforced error when she decided to wax poetically about how amazing amy schumer was, after the latter had been exposed as a genocidal racist.

I think most people wrote that off as her being an idiot who couldn't read the room (and Amy was still the worst person in the situation, so all of the hate went to her)

Jlaw was smart enough to call it though and take a break just as people were getting sick of her.

I think she also mentioned having issues with her team who were only presenting her with big payday projects.

She's now doing a healthy mix of prestige indie and big projects.

Yeah I think she did an interview with Colbert where she did kinda acknowledged she was getting oversaturated in the market.

She def left the big projects cause outside of the hunger games, they were flopping critically and commercially lol. So she knew she had to go back to basics to where she got her most acclaim.

I think she’s in kind of a weird place - I remember someone on awardsworthy said she didn’t seem to be getting as many meetings with the prestige directors as some of her peers, even though she’s the one with the Oscar and most of her peers save for Emma Stone do not have Oscars yet.

I don’t think she’s a bad actress, she is a good enough actress that she shouldn’t be having trouble, but I think the fact that she got an Oscar for the movie she got it for and not for a better performance and that she is so heavily associated with Harvey Weinstein in people’s minds hurt her.

I always love rooting for a comeback except she defended Amy Schumer and I opened her IMDB page just now and she and Amy have an upcoming project together lol. So never mind, good luck Jennifer!

I've never been completely sold on her personality-wise. She's cool in small doses but she annoys me that anything cause she's obnoxious if you let her ( ... )

Yeah, while Jennifer is not like, the Katharine Hepburn of her generation or anything, she’s not a bad actress to the point she should be having the trouble getting roles right now that she is. I think it’s really the Harvey Weinstein association that’s bringing her down, and that people think she only rose to the top because of Harvey… without him she probably would have still been successful but she wouldn’t have had such a meteoric rise to the top as she did, and she wouldn’t have had the hard fall either. She’s still in a better place than Alicia Vikander at least who fell off the face of the earth.

Funny because people used this scandal to dig up Blake’s association with Harvey Weinstein too. Blake had no problem associating with him, Woody Allen, etc, but then trying to weaponize feminism to defend herself lol.

Apparently Jennifer and Amy were co-writing a comedy together where they play sisters. Looks like it’s stuck in development hell and will likely never come to fruition though lol. Phew!

Yeah I agree. I don't think we were the only ones questioning her Oscar win and everyone knows her meteoric rise was because of his lobbying. She would've been better off coming up slow by strong instead cause the SLP was not it all and hasn't aged well in that regard ( ... )

I remember people were genuinely obsessed with her personality (even though they find the exact same personality annoying now lol) so she really did not need Harvey Weinstein to be successful and her career probably would’ve had more longevity if she came up more slowly! I don’t think Emma Stone ever peaked as high as Jennifer Lawrence did but she’s still going more than a decade later so ( ... )

Emma is an interesting case cause she did have an it-girl phase and I wasn't surprised cause I felt something special about her since Superbad. But unlike Jennifer, Emma is a bit smarter PR-wise and a hustler cause who've predicted going from teen sex comedies to 2x Oscar winner!! Emma def took advantage of the it-girl press but I thought she was one of the few to handle really well cause she flexed her comedy skills more than saying anything dumb like Jennifer did a lot. I knew when Emma started courting the SNL people it was good-good for her because she became one of their darlings. Her PR agent worked well but also Emma didn't waste time and clearly hustled it didn't take too long to go from teen sex comedies to comedies to romcoms to superhero movies to then dramatic stuff and now an awards darling ( ... )

Just jumping in to say Brie actually has been constantly working since Captain Marvel and is dipping her toes into producing and directing besides acting. I'd consider that career advancement.
she’s not a well-respected actress I don't think just because she is not the hot name everybody is shouting from the rooftops that she is not well-respected.

This is exactly why I didn't want Stephanie Shu to get an Oscar yet despite her very much earning it for EEAAO.

I'm not sure if it's the same with Hollywood but when Anthony Wong won Asia's equivalent of an Oscar, no one wanted to hire him for YEARS because that award boosted his networth and everyone assumed that they could no longer afford him or assumed that their projects were beneath him. He was so bored and strapped for cash that he was begging studios and directors for roles but everyone thought he was joking.
