I’m ready for stan internet culture to take a massive hit because it’s just gotten to such a ridiculous point. Looking at stan twitter is wild because these people absolutely do not live in reality
they really just be molding celebs into objects that they project their version of "perfection" onto and then get super upset when they get hit with the reality that their vision of them is just that, a fantasy lmao
So on this big music message board, some stan for Beyonce completely lost it when she showed up at The Lion King premiere in London. Complained about her weight, said something like she owed it to her fans to always be at performance weight (skinny) at all times. Crazy talk.
ugh, fuck off! Bey has never looked better in her prime thiqness
stan behavior I find really odd is when they pit two people against each other that are obviously friends/colleagues irl lol. and then get mad when one doesn’t actually dislike the other when that was entirely made up by stans. like babes they’re not going to take the opinions of Twitter into consideration to keep stans happy over a person they actually know in real ass life lmao! it’s just so delusional
Also stans can cause a beef that was not really there. Female rap is a bloodbath rn with stans and it’s making these girls fall into the trap (most notably the boring beef between latto and ice spice)
This reminds me of how people are gagging over Christina. She looks great but stans equating her being skinny to being worthy of a successful era is so odd
I said this in a previous post but the way these articles about mainly female celebs are being written lately about jlo, Katy, Blake, etc reek of stan twitter commentary

The "compliments" about Christina have made me so sad.

I want this so badly, but it feels like internet culture is too entrenched in everyday pop culture for it to fully go away.
