We have a real and growing problem with violence against women and girls in the UK. It's horrendous.

It feels like several times a week I'm seeing stories about women being attacked and/or killed. This dance class. The crossbow murders a few weeks ago. Several women who were just out walking their dog, Sarah Everard (who was raped and murdered by A POLICE OFFICER)... domestic abuse is a fifth of all crime reported in the UK now. It's so disheartening.

There was also the story about Greater Manchester Police and their strip searches of women recently.

Apparently people have been attacking a mosque local to the scene this evening, so racism is truly alive and well. And they’ve now started attacking the police so it’s basically just descending into violence rather than a peaceful memorial.

I hate this country/planet.
