Cilantro tastes like soap to me, but I also have a really strange aversion to oregano and “Italian seasoning”. My mom used to pour it all over our pizza when I was a kid and I found it just really gross, and also kind of resented her for doing that when she was the only person who liked it and my brother I would spend time scraping it off. Like catch a clue, Mom.

Whatever that spice or seasoning that tastes like black licorice can rawt in hale.

Ugh, yes, sometimes they put it in otherwise delicious bread and that’s all I can taste. 😩

To clarify, my aversion is mostly visual at this point, I don’t have issues with oregano or other spice blends when it’s in food. I think it tastes fine. My inner child has just never healed from feeling so misunderstood about not wanting my pizza covered in seasoning.

I had a bad experience with oregano and I cannot stand the smell now. It makes me gag.

Aw, this makes me so sad because I love oregano. I put it on sandwiches and of course soups and pizza.

Anise definitely has the ability to ruin anything and everything.

Cilantro tasting like soap is genetic apparently, it's just in your genes. My dad loves it & goes way overboard with cilantro, I don't mind it but I don't really like it - I'll eat some of it but don't want a pile of it.
