Category Fraud 'The Bear' Keeps Catching Strays For Stealing The Spotlight From Real Comedies

Proud of Abbott Elementary for all of its Emmy nominations this year, especially Outstanding Comedy series as we are definitely a program where the majority of the running time of at least 6 episodes are primarily comedic, as defined by the TV Academy ☺️

You can tell they put more Faks in the last series to earn the comedy category but they were so unfunny. If I hear "haunt" again I s2g!!

ikr? I liked the original Faks; I don't know this stranger bitch one, and he was really shoehorned in.

We had just the right amount of Faks before! Stop!

The increased screen time for Faks are irritating asf and nowhere near as charming or endearing as the writers seem to think they are. I hate how they make all the women on the show baby them whenever they have to tell them to stop doing something. It's not enjoyable to watch grown ass women having to wrangle manchildren; it just makes me sympathise the woman and hate the man.

The Bear has never been a comedy, not even in the first season.

Ugh yes. I was especially mad because I felt like there wasn't enough Syd and they did NOTHING with Carmy. Syd/Carmy is the most interesting relationship on the show to me and they wasted all those fucking episodes.

Season 3's kind of a transitionary season for everyone so I'm not too upset that Syd's trying to figure out what her next step is. As much as I like the pacing and character deep dives, it's the type of pacing that would work much better in a longer season. Season 3's finale feels more like a mid-season finale because nothing much happened--as it would given the very short time frame the season takes place in ( ... )

Seriously! I swear the Faks had more screentime than Syd and Carmy who are our protagonist/deuteragonist??

when they showed up at Claire's job and she kept being like "thank you so much my love but you have to leave" like... I would just be like can you get the fuck out?? I'm working??

Right?!! As if harassing her at work wasn't bad enough, no self-respecting woman wants to hear her man's bff vouching for him the the way the Faks did. If he doesn't even have the guts to say it to her face, what good is he to her? She deserves so much better than that mess and he needs to sort himself out before he gets anywhere near her.

John Cena was so random and forced. And I usually don't mind him.

I didn't mind him as a one off but the fact that the haunting thing stuck and carried on to multiple eps ruined it for me
