Proud of Abbott Elementary for all of its Emmy nominations this year, especially Outstanding Comedy series as we are definitely a program where the majority of the running time of at least 6 episodes are primarily comedic, as defined by the TV Academy ☺️

Season 3's kind of a transitionary season for everyone so I'm not too upset that Syd's trying to figure out what her next step is. As much as I like the pacing and character deep dives, it's the type of pacing that would work much better in a longer season. Season 3's finale feels more like a mid-season finale because nothing much happened--as it would given the very short time frame the season takes place in.

I've mentioned this before but there's a huge disconnect between how much we've had to wait for the show to come back, how much time has passed on the show since season 2, and how much time season 3 covers because canonically, a lot of thing are happening in a very short of amount of time but it doesn't feel that way for us because of all the waiting we've had to do.

Syd and Carmy are the glue to the show and I'm glad the writing is at the very least acknowledging what an absolute dick he's being to her. I think Carmy's cousin and Syd have an interesting dynamic too when they're both on the same page. Actually, Syd has great chemistry with everyone, lol. Syd and Tina are great to watch because I love watching Tina grow as a chef.
