Am I crazy for thinking the show is totally fine and even fun? Sure it was slow in the beginning but most Star Wars is. Like we know what the real problem here is. I wish I could be miserable staring at Manny’s arms but alas I'm built different.

Agreed. Most of the Star Wars shows are BORING or you have to rely on extended universe/cartoon series knowledge to really appreciate it.

I like the story, characters, & general pacing of this show so much more. I do think there are negatives but not enough to make me stop watching

it's a very fine and fun show. [Spoiler (click to open)]I think what happens with the straight white male cis brain is that when they don't see themselves in a piece of media, they instead start to see all of the flaws said media has always had, then they say "see! it's bc of woke!!" and lose their minds

like no, your ego just let a lot of the brand's unpolished things go bc you were able to relate to its straight male whiteness, and now that something isn't made for or marketed towards you, you think women, POC, and LGBTQ people ruined it when star wars was never perfect to begin with??

but who are we kidding, star wars fans have been complaining about star wars since Empire Strikes Back, so it's nothing new I suppose. just more sexist, racist, and homophobic than ever before.

I’ve been enjoying it. I mean there’s a few things I can critique just like any show I watch but there’s a lot I really like about it. Star Wars fans have always been like this though since the originals- people hated the Ewoks, then the prequels, then the sequels and all of a sudden liked the prequels, etc. I both love and hate Star Wars fans

I can say this objectively that out of all the SW series, acolyte is by far the worst. It’s a shame because it had all the elements to expand the universe and lore beyond the skywalker saga but since Kathleen Kennedy is still calling the shots, this was inevitable.
