To me the main issue are the stupid executives who have no idea what tf they're doing most of the time. Most, if not all, of them are in it for all the wrong reasons. These greedy mofos look at movies only from a business perspective. The only value they see is in how much profit it can make for the studio. They don't see film as an art form. They lack imagination. They're truly soulless cowards. Fuck em!

It's like in this day and age you can never have a cult classic anymore because if the movie fails the studio deletes it or not even consider physical media

which is wild because they spend so much on test screenings, market research and promo and they still bomb. Thinking that they have to do all of this just to make a movie profitable to the point where they're trying to police a director like bong joon-ho is really telling.
