It wasn’t dropped - he settled. Which innocent people dont do.

But OP is busy peddling the idea the woman he abused is after money. A new low even for you OP using his twitter fan as a source and a german tabloid.

It was not settled it was dropped. Literally in the post, Patea withdrew her accusation and the prosecutor (without her testimony) asked for the case to be 'discontinued' which Zverev's team agreed to.

The English speaking press has been reporting this poorly acting like what he paid was to settle, but the amount he's had to pay is court costs for taking the case to trial.

It wasn't dropped, they settled it. They both went into this hearing to resolve this case peacefully for the sake of their daughter. They settled it and he has to pay her money.

That is incorrect unless something further has been reported, neither side disclosed the settlement they came to outside of court.

The money mentioned is court fees and part paid to a charity run by the Berlin court.

Hi Andre, we don't know any details of the agreement, though you might find this helpful:https://t.co/7WS28N1RWf

All the German media are reporting that they settled out of court (e.g. SPIEGEL reporting what they did as "außergerichtlich geeinigt" which is literally out-of-court settlement). I should also mention, since you use BILD as a source, that they're a rag widely condemned in Germany for being a biased trash tabloid on the level of British yellow press and while they do have scoops sometimes, they're mainly used by celebs like Zverev as a type of Hofberichtserstattung so you should take any framing that they do with a huge grain of salt.

My understanding was that article filed by the lawyers said the case had been discontinued not settled.

I was of the understanding the settlement was about their custody dispute but and not to do with the current case and that settlement led to Brenda not wanting to continue, but I may be wrong. BILD did say it but I have since since a comment from the Berlin court saying Patea did not wish to continue with the case, I'm assuming that is at least correct.

I assume you understand the German court system better than me though. I'm reading translate articles.

I can remove BILD as a source if you think it's unreliable.

And this piece of shit kept playing while he was on trial for domestic violence

Keep in mind both ATP and the international tennis federation could've suspended him - they chose not to.

I know, and that makes me so angry. He's a popular player, so they don't give a shit. And as far as I know, the players are still friendly with him

Yep, even the player whose mum used to coach his first accuser is still very friendly with him.

Men don't care about what doesn't affect them.

What indicates that I don't care? That I point out when you're lying?

ATP made a rod for their own back when they didn't suspend Basilashvili after he was accused before Zverev. If they had then decided to suspend Zverev his (very aggressive) lawyers would have gone after that. Also didn't help that no journalist around tennis (that I've seen) have called for anyone but Zverev to be suspended from the game pending trial.
