i know that stuff vastly depends on where you live, but getting married at 23/22 is so damn young

My partner was freshly divorced when I met him at 27. He got married at 22. Absolutely insane really, when you think about it.

absolutely. it's indoctrinated in kids at a very young age that you should constantly be looking for the forever partner you need to settle down with, get married, and have kids of their own.

i get depressed every mother's day when i see the roadside stands selling 4' tall pink plushes. like, the majority of mothers who are going to enjoy a gift like that for mother's day are likely very young and immature themselves, too immature to be raising their own kids.

Depends on the person really; I'm an old and a couple of years ago my partner bought me the Build A Bear Psyduck with the raincoat and hat and I was thrilled!

to a degree it depends on the person, but these aren't those kinds of stuffed animals i'm talking about. think more like 4' generic plushies you win at the fair or see with those oversized easter baskets at walmart, not memorabilia or collectors items.

i distinctly remember last year seeing one that was like a dachshund but instead of the body it was shaped/designed to look like a handbag. it was so weird.

agreed. my husband and his first wife were in their early 20s when they got married, and i was kinda taken aback when he told me that when we first started dating. he's so level headed and practical, he didn't seem the type? but he said "i dunno, we thought that's just what you do."

I grew up in a rural area of the Midwest and so many of my high school classmates were already divorced by 25.

I got married at 22. We're still happily married 13 years later, but sometimes even I'm like, "...damn, that's young!" lol
