Shannen's been around long enough to know that in most cases, the male is going to make more money than the female, even if they are "co-leads." I'm not saying that it's right, because it's not, but I don't think she's that naive.

I could see it at that time tho - she was indeed the bigger star and get and he by comparison was a nobody. Not even paying them equal is egregious but less than him?? a mess

But it was a teen soap that was intended to appeal to young females, who were going to be watching for "pretty boys."
