Lets Be Clear W/Shannen Doherty and 90210 co-star Tori Spelling

-Since all of the 90210 cast is part of the iheart radio family now....they keep doing crossover episodes...so Shannen does Toris pod, Tori does Shannens, etc..
-Shannen has recently been thinking about the pay disparity between her/Jason. They were brought on together and were seen as the co-leads of the show but he was #1 on the call sheet and made more money than her even though she was the bigger name than him. He only had Sister Kate to his name apart from guest roles while she had Heathers, Little House on the Prairie, Girls Just want to have fun, and Our House for 46 episodes.
-Spelling from the beginning labeled Jason as the quarterback of the cast and the one who had to keep the cast together. She wonders if Spelling had treated her the same as Jason if she would've felt more pressure to set the example for everyone else.
-Tori was afraid of speaking up for herself and fight for herself as she felt uncomfortable being Spellings daughter and didnt want to be viewed as getting preferential treatment. It took Shannens termination (that she...advocated for Shannens firing lol) for her to speak up for more pay, respect, etc..as she hid behind Shannen for most of the show who would often fight on her/the crews behalf (the writers were originally non-union and Shannen was one of the few who urged them to unionize). Shannen urged for more Brenda/Donna scenes which ended up leading to the Paris storyline in S3.
-She was not a fan of E.Duke Vincent, one of Spellings EPs on all of his shows (so she worked with him again on Charmed). He was very sexist towards her. Would consistently tell her that she had no opinions and that she should just do her job and read her lines.
-Tori admits that she tends to hide behind/follow whoever the Alpha female was on set so by Season 4, she started following Jennie more and her friendship with Shannen deteriorated. She didn't take ownership or have her opinion on anything.
-The cast wanted to donate a van to charity in the crews name which Shannen was against and refused to participate in as she wanted the crew to have a party/gifts instead.
-Shannen believes that her fight with Jeannie lead to the cast coming together to demand her termination. Tori doesnt remember that being the start of things as they came together on a different day. Tori claims the final straw came when Shannen was 4hrs late to set, was in makeup and Ian went off on Shannen, calling her a CU Next Tuesday, which lead to Shannen popping off on him. They all presumed that she was out partying but she was dealing with her abusive ex and attempting to cover up marks. She reiterates that she wishes she hadnt felt so isolated from the cast and opened up to them about it.
-Shannen is still devastated by her firing from Charmed compared to her firing on 90210.
