I don't watch this show so I'm genuinely asking: Does anyone actually want a 3rd season? Every comment I've seen online is saying just cancel it and move on.

yes, people want a third season. social media is not a fully accurate reflection of the real world, this show in particular was hbo's biggest since game of thrones. and it got them critical acclaim, and it got them awards. that's why they're trying so hard not to let it go.

i think it's all still relative like it obviously wasn't pulling GOT numbers but HBO needed a hit and this was a hit for them. it's crazy because the first season of euphoria was not super watched but in between the first and second, people found it and it blew up and that second season did extremely well for them

NO. I am a big fan of the show but a) it's been too fucking long b) all the main actors have other big projects and one of the show regulars died tragically, and c) it just feels stupid at this point to try to keep the story going.

It would have been interesting to have a third season if they could have actually done it quickly and had it air last year but it's simply been too long and I really don't care about the characters anymore. Let it die.

for schadenfraude I would like to see what, if anything, sam can come up with after that godawful season 2 ending. i think it was an ontd comment that said rue suddenly miraculously getting sober was like her being an alien going back to her home planet lol
