Fanfic authors are pulling their works and here's why

And it's live! For @WIRED, I wrote about the illegal fanbindings have led to some writers to delete their works recently-and how that connects to the current pull-to-publish wave and the ever-broadening, increasingly contextless sphere of fic readers: https://t.co/qEFk1jspFo

Speaking of Anne's, when i was doing play by post role-playing instead of fanfics as a tween/teen, Anne Bishop was the author who went after fanfic and the likes the most, hence why people were doing secret PbP rps of her Black Jewels trilogy. Don't ask why i know >.>

Is that series extremely problematic? Yes. Was i a huge fan in high school? Also yes. I reread it in the past few years though and i thought it was drivel, but it lends itself well to role-playing in the same sense HP did because there is its own sorting hat mentality going on lmao.

Ooof. I loved that series 20 years ago, but it's so *wince* now.

I still like Sebastian and Belladonna, tho.

There is def a very strong creep factor to the main trilogy and the relationships within it. Namely the immortal/near immortal men lusting for an actual child.
