the cat cgi and possible cat abuse turned me off to this in the trailers.

I saw Inside llewyn davis with my dad and I was so mad he abandoned the ginger cat in the car. (true he abandoned that drunk guy too but I cared more about the fate of the cat)

i'm worse: i thought john goodman's character was already dead, so at least the cat had some food rofl. kind of a victimless crime with the impossible choice llewyn had to make. this way kept the cat from running around a dangerous highway at least.

though i must have erased from my mind that llewyn later HITS the cat while driving home. i only give them some slack because story-wise they're drawing a parallel to llewyn's character having shitty luck at every turn.

still, it's a stressful movie to experience as an animal lover! so many kitties in peril. i appreciated that llewyn at least tried to save the cat at first.

Wait I thought he was hallucinating the cat 🐱 that he hit. Maybe I misunderstood the scene.

no, that's totally possible! either way, sad to think of any kitties wandering off to die in the woods.
