It’s Saw Patrol weekend, everybody! Unfortunately for Lionsgate and Paramount, that double feature does not look to be as popular as Barbenheimer, but with both Saw X and PAW Patrol made for low budgets, the studios will likely be pleased with the box office results anyway. Dumb Money and Stop Making Sense both expand this weekend as well, so look out for those at your local theaters.
The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Five” - Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures, and Columbia Pictures. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. What you should know: This is one of four Roald Dahl short story film adaptations that Wes Anderson made for Netflix; the other three are The Swan, The Rat Catcher, and Poison, with one releasing each day. All four will be available to view by September 30th.
