Indie Film Release Guide: September 15th [An ONTD Original]

Sep 14, 2023 10:00

Spooky season is coming to theaters a bit early, as Kenneth Branagh’s third Agatha Christie adaptation A Haunting in Venice debuts this weekend for 20th Century Studios. And in other big studio release news, Sony’s Dumb Money is out in select cities this weekend, continuing its rollout over the next few weeks. If neither of those options is grabbing you, read on for indie studio releases also coming this weekend.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Five” - Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures, and Columbia Pictures. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: September 8th, September 1st, and August 25th.
