It's missing Michelle Williams, she asked to be killed in the Dawson's Creek finale because she didn't want to be back in case the show would be rebooted later on

She knew 5-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams was happening before any of us. Except me, I was obsessed with her and Joshua Jackson and knew they were the two talented ones, much to my friend's chagrin. I mean, HOW did anyone like Dawson and Joey over the icons that are Pacey and Jen.

I can't find any sources, but I remember that it was said back then when the finale aired, she was unhappy with the material in the latest season (with reason, they did Jen so dirty) they storylines were so bad that even Josh was mad on her behalf (IMO on the college years everyone got shitty storylines, Jack's green card marriage? Pacey and Audrey? Joey and her professor?) and she didn't want to be asked to go back in the future

oh ok. maybe but that would be surprising to me, she always has spoken very well of the show and would be down to do a reunion as a ghost. kevin williamson came back to write the finale but hadn't otherwise been involved really in years. this is what he had said about it (which tbh is in line with jen always getting the shaft, i laughed at him spinning it like a good thing):

“I looked around at all the characters and said, ‘Who can it be?’ I wanted to tell the story through Jen. She always felt like the outsider, the misfit. She was always the person who didn’t feel like she fit in,” he said. “And I thought what a beautiful way to let her be the catalyst for everyone’s turning events.”

Williamson continued, saying Jen’s death pushed Joey to decide between the two great loves of her life.

“I also wanted Joey to finally make her decision between Pacey and Dawson, and I thought what better thing to launch that life decision than the immediacy of a death,” he said. “You’re forced to dig deeper and to truly figure out what your future’s gonna be.”

And right after its end, when she started making into movies, she clearly wanted to distance herself from it, because back then "tv stars" where looked upon on cinema, especially stars from teen shows

Williamsons comments are all very recent, he said that during the 20 years reunion, but back when the show was on on fan forums rumor was that Michelle was so unsatisfied with the show that she wanted a clear cut for her character
