For people that get a lil nauseous on ferries/boats, is it the same for cruises?

It depends. I don't get seasick because I was brought up on the water, but you can definitely notice the rocking. I was surprised, though, my first cruise and except for one day (wake of a storm = choppy water) the only time I noticed the movement was when I was trying to go to bed. They do sell medicine, though. A big ship is a lot more stable than a little boat.

My mom seems fine on cruises- she and my dad booked one of those round the world ones so she really better be. But I remember she got really sick when we went whale watching.

Everyone is different, but for me the bathroom/shower was the worst. I didn’t feel the boat rock anywhere else, but that area was practically off limits for me. I spent as little time as possible just so I wouldn’t feel dizzy/nauseated. It wasn’t like crazy rocking either, it just felt weird and I hated it.

My first day on a cruise ship was a half day and I felt okay, but by the next day I was feeling dizzy and nauseous and had to lie down. By the third day I got my sea legs. And land sickness is a real thing when you disembark! After I came home, I would be sitting at a desk and suddenly feel like the floor was moving. This lasted a few days.

i was on a cruise once and the ship was behind schedule, so on the last night the captain kicked up our speed on choppy waters and most of us got sea sick. i could hear people retching from their rooms while in my room. not a great experience. you'd be walking down the hall and be on one side of the hall, then suddenly on the other side, as the ship tossed you around. blegh.
