I don’t think she did it willingly. She was upset about dropping out. She signed a multi picture deal with fox to do devil wears Prada and they decided to use that option for gullivers travels that filmed about same time as Iron Man 2.

Honestly I still can't really picture Emily Blunt as Black Widow lol. I love EB's work but... yeah.

Ironically, I was also indifferent to ScarJo as Black Widow until the first Avengers movie.
