omg hay fellow former lead cashier!! yeah I loved my job and worked my way up to part-time MSC in a year, but when I got a full-time job offer and my GM was unable to look into getting me any sort of raise, I knew it was time to go. It sucks because I really liked the job overall, but as per usual with these sorts of jobs corporate has their head up their ass.

my store had the RSM going on maternity leave and the GM handed the interim manager/keyholder position to some chick who'd been there less than a year on a silver fucking platter. I ended up inquiring about it because plenty of people (including the ROM) encouraged me to do so since they didn't think the other was qualified.

I didn't get it, and it was partially cause that bitch had been throwing people (me, the MSC) under the bus over the past six months. she also pushed out the girl who would've been the shoo-in for that position just in the nick of time.

AND THEN! they expected me to train the bitch! I refused, and now I'm out.

omg that sucks. I had actually got picked over for the first lead cashier position I applied for but then that chick left in a few months and I worked my way up to MSC from there. But yeah a lot of managers would play favorites at my store too and it sucked. HOpefully you're onto better things!!

well, I've been on the interview circuit, looking to work in more of an office setting with a set schedule and weekends. I'd like to have an actual work/life balance for once. and brunch! I worked every Sunday for three years!
