Complicated mother daughter relationships, hunting competitions, hypothermic hallucinations and a new twist on "No Return." The cast and creators dissect Episode 4 with help from Alanis Morissette.
It took me out of the episode when they started playing… the THEME… during that one scene with Lottie. Idk something about this season is so off for me. I’ve said this before but season 1 really stole my heart and so far I’m not sure my expectations are being met with season 2. They gave the cannibalism bit away waaaay too early after eluding to it during season 1. And the Nat/Lottie storyline in the present is getting boring. Like they just fucking kidnap her, strap her to the bed and Nat is REALLY pretending like that didn’t happen? Yawn.
For me, it's that the present day storyline is just moving way too slowly. It's time to get them together and get the ball rolling. I agree with you completely re: Nat/Lottie. It honestly feels like a different show.
I was a little confused there. Maybe she's playing the long game because she doesn't believe Lottie's story about how Travis died. Attract more flies with honey and all that.
I'm not digging this season nearly as much as the first tbh The adult storyline is messy and boring at the same time. I thought the last two episodes felt like filler.
idk maybe I just expected more craziness lol I just remember the excitement I felt learning Lottie was alive at the end of the first season and how it seemed like that was a big scary shock. Her adult involvement just feels like a bit of a let down.
Oh well. Maybe it will pick up now with adult Van involved.
-I wonder if Callie is just lulling Shauna and Jeff into a false sense of ease. But I am leaning more towards her just wanting to be included lol -Misty and Walter being weird creeps together 😝 they have great chemistry and I’m digging their scenes. -I don’t like the adult Nat-Lottie storyline. I don’t like adult Nat and tbh I’m not really into adult Lottie either. I hope it picks up soon. -I find Mari annoying lol. Akilah must be a bit delirious to consider even touching a mouse lol -I wonder how Javi survived! He was so dazed so obviously he’s not well but I wonder how it happened.
I almost thought it was nice how Shauna was brutally honest with Callie but then realized Jeff was absolutely right in that she just made her an accomplice to murder lol but hey, at least they’re choppin cucumbers together again
I don’t mind adult Lottie but I expected more than Goop Goes Camping after the ~spooky/potentially murderous/kidnapping in the middle of the night cult stuff in the first season. I thought she and Nat would be the queen bees fighting each other but they’re both just kind of a mess
I’m less annoyed by Mari after rewatching the first season before this one, when she was Team Jackie until everyone turned on her. She’s fully sucking up to whoever is most popular and it’s obnoxious but also feels extremely realistic to high schoolers lol
Lol yes! I was like aww how sweet that Callie and Shauna are having a mother-daughter moment…about the man she murdered 😬
Yeah! I’m sure it’s building up to something but it’s not what I thought it would be after the whole cliffhanger last year. I’ve never liked Nat as an adult so I think that might be contributing to it for me.
Ooh that’s true!! Didn’t think of that. Just aligning herself with the perceived queen bee! Very high school haha
I'm assuming there's something much darker going on at Lottie's Goop compound than we've seen so far. We just got Lisa's backstory, something is going to happen to her that is either directly or indirectly Lottie's doing.
I’m reading more and more theories that seem to be making sense (the underground stuff, the potential ritual/rules with the playing cards, etc). I’m pumped!
How am I so surprised every time I hear Melanie Lynskey’s kiwi accent
This season feels a little slower than last (understandably, idt they could get much crazier after multiple plane crashes/explosions without it being too unreal) but I think they’re still just setting the stage with introducing new characters so we care more when they get straight up murdered, and giving us a feel of the cult before something goes down. I’m hopeful and I love the actors but I also need them to step on the gas with Tai’s adult storyline bc it’s been in limbo all season.
