If you are Old like me, you probably know Judd Winick as one of the roommates on the third season of The Real World (which most people remember for the endless fights between Puck and Pedro). At the time, Judd was a struggling cartoonist. After filming for the season ended, he and fellow castmate Pam began dating and eventually got married ( Read more... )

I'll die on this hill that the show really changed for the worse with Boston because that was the first year nobody in the house was local, so nobody had their own shit going on outside of the house. Everyone had to be all wrapped up in each other's business and there was too much drama. But that was the blueprint for all reality TV that came after, so I guess kudos to MTV for figuring that out.

I loved Boston though haha. While I think it had been going downhill already, I think Las Vegas was when it was over for me.

Yea, I feel like Vegas was when the door really closed on the concept of people from different backgrounds and points of view coming together and really focused on the partying/hook up aspect.

Why did Trishelle immediately pop into my head? Weird what our brains retain because I can't remember anyone else from Vegas.

Once they went back to NY (oh hey Coral and Miz!) it wasn't the same.

Man, I loved this season so much and it bums me out that we'll never get a reunion. Not that I want to give Rachel or Puck a platform, but I'd like to see the other roommates again.

As much as I would enjoy seeing the other roommates (not Rachel or Puck), I kind of love that aside from Judd doing publicity for his work, they all stay out of the limelight instead of going on a zillion seasons of The Challenge, trying to get on any reality show that will have them, or generally being fame whores.

That's wild, my son loves the Hilo books and I never put together that the author was Judd from the Real World! (PS the books are great for anyone with kids btwn ~6-10ish).

My 4 year old daughter loves HiLo so much she dressed up as him for Halloween. No one got the costume (even though she was super cute), but I sent a picture to Judd and he wrote back within twenty minutes, the nicest email and a personalized high quality print out. He's so great!
