I want to get a PC to start streaming but for the love of god I do not know the first thing about building a computer even when looking at those websites that help you build it. I'd buy a premade one, but I don't trust them. It is so frustrating :|

i felt the same way and honestly just decided to buy an affordable one that's premade and if i really get into gaming, i'll think about upgrading later. i bought this one, which seems like it will be fine with the type of games i like to stream. i also only intend to use it for gaming (i have a work laptop and a personal mac for other stuff), so there will be less clutter and whatnot on it

if there's a local pc shop with good reviews near you, you can try them to help you build one. the local chain here does that for buyers and i've heard good things about them.

Youtube and Reddit are your friends :)

Go on Youtube and look for gaming pc builds, and if any results are from Linus Tech Tips or JayzTwoCents, you'll be in good hands.

On Reddit, r/pcmasterrace will almost undubitably have posts from people asking for help with pc building as well. You can search for those or even make your own, there's a lot of helpful people there.

I do think you should watch some vids on Youtube about it just so you get a sense about the different types of builds you can go with. It is a rabbit hole tho haha

I got a NZXT and am very happy with it. It handles gaming and streaming great! I brought it through their refurbished shop and got a great deal. My son has one of the regular series prebuilts and is happy as well.

You will pay a bit of an upcharge for a pre-built one but it isn't a bad way to start. The difference between laptops and PCs is it's so much easier to swap out/upgrade parts in a PC, so a pre-built is an easy way to get into it. Later you can buy new RAM or a CPU or whatever and get comfortable with putting the pieces together

I'm late to this post, but Jayztwocents on youtube was a HUGE help for me with learning to pick parts. If you use the website pcpartpicker as well, it can help filter things out so you know it will be compatible, meet wattage requirements, etc. If you have any questions you can't find answers for online, you can also PM me and I will most likely be able to help <3

I’m super late but r/buildapcforme will literally build a pc for you that fits your needs and budget. I used one of their suggested builds for my pc and it went great! You just have to fill out the template and let them know exactly what you’re looking for. You don’t have to know brands or anything so that is definitely a bonus!
