I wouldn't trust myself, let alone a teenager, to keep up with the aftercare of six simultaneous piercings.

She probably won't and they'll get infected and she'll have to take them out and she'll learn. Or she'll be like me as a teen and will get her lobes pierced and re-pierced 3 times before she finally figures out she has to actually take care of them.

She's actually a very responsible kid. She used to hang around railway stations with her hands in her sleeves. Now she's a lifeguard in Mumbai.

But, realistically, this is probably the least harmful thing this kid has gone through. Teens like piercings, it’s a way to express themselves without something too permanent like a tattoo. I wanted more than the 4 I had at 14, so I don’t really see nothing too crazy about this. It pains me to say this because.. Farrah.

I don’t really think it’s that weird. Looks like two lobe piercings in each ear and snakebites; the biggest concern for me with snakebites is they can cause gum erosion and damage tooth enamel but from a societal standpoint, who cares. At least her and her daughter are “doing their thing” at the same time for her birthday.

I don't think the piercings are weird, but it's a lot all at one time, no? I do have the shittiest immune system so maybe I'm being dramatic.

100% this reason. That is a lot of trauma to the face all at once.

It looked like two in each lobe and snake bites; so just two to the face, and snake bites are usually done at the same time. If they were all facial or body piercings, I’d be more alarmed but the double lobe on each side is pretty easy. Her lip piercings are gonna need the most care to prevent infection.

I used to be really into Teen Mom and one of the reasons I had to completely step away was because of how bad I feel for Sophia. She deserves so much more :(

I just wanna add that I have nothing against piercings or even teens having piercings. I just feel like all of this is a further example of Farrah’s complete lack of parenting. Like maybe 6 at once isn’t a great idea??

I was into Teen Mom OG for awhile and IA - I think Farrah tries to autocorrect for the overly strict and critical parenting she received from her terrible mom, Debbie, by being a 'cool mom' and never saying no or otherwise parenting.

I would never want to be healing six piercings at once, especially as a 14 year old.
