I love my Ikea furniture, it's honestly been so reliable. And it's cute!

It says it's about 1300 square meters, that's not small at all though. And wasn't it temporary until they moved to Frogmore Cottage or whatever it's called anyway?

1300 square feet, not meters. So, big if it was an apartment, but for royals that feels quite small. But I mean, I don't feel bad for them, I'm sure they felt it was a quaint little adventure.

After looking at the photos, there is no way that place is 1300 square meters. It's definitely 1300 square feet. My house is under 1000 square feet, and it looks comparable (and tbh my house looks nicer lmao).

Yeah it was a typo, I meant feet not meters! Still, it's not small.

I mean, that's still pretty small. It's just me and my husband (and our two cats) and our house is craaaammppeed, lol. Layout makes a big difference, though, and from the photos we've seen of the inside of their house, the rooms do look small and cramped and like there wasn't that much natural light. My husband and I are talking about eventually moving (especially if we want to have a kid) and 1300sqft is probably the minimum size we would consider tbh (lol I literally have a 1,333 sqft house from Zillow open in another window rn). We've done seven years in this tiny house and are more than ready for a change.

They were in that cottage while their 10 bedroom home was being renovated for them for free. Not everything is a slight. You could give this man a silver spoon and he'd whine that it isn't gold.

They're the ones who bought the furniture. They both have money, if they wanted better furniture then BUY IT.

I can't at rich folk whining about having to do what us poors do on a regular basis. I am currently looking to upgrade my TV stand (it was a hand me down that belonged to my late grandmother and it's chipped and all), and even an Ikea TV stand at $160 is having me think "can I just find this on Marketplace instead for cheaper?"

Lol, this is me. Our coffee table was a hand-me-down from an in-law. Our TV stand was picked off a tree lawn on trash day. The bookshelves were left by the previous owner. The electric fireplace was given to my by a friend (because it broke and she didn't feel like fixing it, so she bought a new one - my husband was able to fix the old one). The corner table was actually made by my husband in woodshop when he was in school. The papasan chair was bought from a friend for about $40. The only things in the living room that were bought new are the rug (I paid for it with Christmas gift cards years ago) and the couch (on sale at the time for about $400). As much as I would love to splurge on nice, new furniture that matches, I'm just too cheap and poor to go through with it.

right? it’s giving cheap ass rich people who won’t spend a dime of their own money and are resentful they didn’t get a house full of priceless heritage pieces paid for by the unwashed masses
