That better not be a combination of the two.

What’s the issue with NC-17 ratings? Why appeal it?

an R-rated movie will bring in more money. if they lose the appeal they could decide to edit the movie to get an R-rating (which is usually what happens) or they could just keep it as is, like Blonde did.

Fewer theatres will play NC-17 movies and it's harder to recoup costs.

less theaters will screen it = less box office

Are they together in this? Does he ever partner with women his own age in movies?

yeah, his on screen love interests are usually younger, except for Nicole Kidman I guess. but that's Hollywood for you.

Wasn’t Nicole playing his mother?

“There's a fully explicit erect-penis cumshot amongst a number of other NC-17 level graphic sequences, on top of it essentially making no sense. I don't need to be spoon fed plot, but even for me this was too much - again, not trying to make myself sound like anything more than a semi-knowledgeable fan of the movies here but there's no chance in hell the average (or even above-average) filmgoer is willing to sit through this (as evidenced by the number of walkouts during the screening).”

Had me at cumshot (assuming AS) but by the end I'm a Nope. 😆

I don’t want to see graphic violence (much less of a sexual nature, if that’s the case, which I’m sure it is) involving Mia Goth, especially considering who she’s married to (despite my wish for Askars to live out his remaining good days as a nudist)

that's what i came here to say. like she has all the agency in the world to choose her projects, but imagining what her home life is probably like, i don't want to see her in those situations. i only really started noticing her in EMMA (2022) and she was so charming and sweet, i just want her to be safe.
