That was a weird episode for me, half filler, half series finale. Glad we spent so much time on a future daughter-aged girlfriend (btw you can see her on the new Ted series) instead of wrapping up that whole pesky Anaya thing.

But it was all very nice so yay. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will really miss these characters if this is the last time we've seen time.

If this is the last season I will miss them a lot too. Comics and novellas won't do any future storylines justice if they decided to go that route in the wake of a cancellation.

I don't think they could wrap up Anaya in 1 episode. Not after what her mom said to Ed in the previous episode. I'm hoping for another season and in that season we'll get Anaya wrapped up. They could take the first 2-3 episodes trying to track her down and finding her. OR, do a time jump and she's a zealot on her planet and Ed has to "save" her from her ways. I never thought she should have been left before. I still don't understand why they went in that direction because Ed as a character wouldn't have done that. He knew how fucked up Krill society is. I don't think he'd leave ANY child in that situation, much less his own.

In a satisfying way? Yeah, probably not. If they wanted a quick and dirty resolution, they could have sent a couple of people Krill'd up again and grabbed her and her caretakers while the planet is presumably in chaos over their leader being in custody.

I still don't understand why they went in that direction because Ed as a character wouldn't have done that. He knew how fucked up Krill society is.

Yeah, for me, it's more the tonal shifts are jarring. Shouldn't he be more concerned? Like all the time but especially now that the one person who was offering some semblance of protection for her is no longer able to?

Agreed. Anaya would have to be a whole episode on her own.

I'm really worried we won't get a satisfactory ending 😞

I also agree about wondering why Ed would leave her there in the first place. I honestly think because he didn't want to kidnap her under Teleya's nose like that, plus they had to get off the planet in a hurry.

Prayer circle for munnifesting season 4!!!

I cannot deal with the daughter-girlfriend thing. It's so gross, so obvious, and it's ruining my enjoyment of the show. Seth having this much creative control is great in creating the narrative he wants, but not so great in the clear favoritism/casting couch/whatever dynamic. Feels very exploitative to me. (Also enough with the singing)

You're right, and I think he probably started doing that during Family Guy (casting guest stars that he wanted to date. Jessica Biel, though iirc he told some anecdote during the audio commentary that he didn't have the courage to ask her out. Amanda Bynes, etc.) Like, he has a lot of indignation towards guys like Weinstein, but how does he notice that what he's doing is sleazy as shit and exploitative as well.

I notice a lot more comments calling him out on regular episode posts at places like tvline too.
